| His eyes made my Aunt cry
The steroids made him look like those pale, bald little boys with puffy faces they show on TV
who have cancer
wearing baseball caps so no one will notice they are bald.
My brother had not gone bald, he just had those staring, bulgy eyes
with loss of words, poor eyesight and hearing.
This all due to the brain cancer on his left side, or, because of the cutting
the radiation
the chemo and drugs
Now, more surgery.
This man who built his house and planted acres, dug ponds, built fences.
is now building bird houses because he has no strength for more.
His new craft is fun. I sat with him today and made my own sign,
"ttw" for Those Three Words which mean I Love You.
We built a sign of love.
