About Cheryl

Death Be Not Proud
Death be not proud
Death be not proud
You only do your duty
Are you a success,
Doing what comes easy?

You make no sacrifice
Exert no power
Life does it for you
With birth I expire.

So I do not fear
I only wonder.
Will I return
Or find God’s treasure?

Life’s answer is here
I must learn to see
God’s treasure, life’s bliss
Is not a mystery.

I must open myself
See with my heart
Be with the moment
That’s where I start.

goddess is a verb, death be not proud, breath is a constant

Death is a Constant

Breath is a constant
Until it stops
Breath out, breath in
Breath out, breath in

Death is a constant
As we breathe life away
Breath out, breath in
                 Breath out.

Gary Died
To see his face
In such a space.
So out of place.

His coffin of lace.

Now someplace
His gentle base,
And everyplace
Will be his grace.

He’ll never erase
From my embrace.
